Human Resource Administrator


Full – Time Position


Job Description:

Thunder Scientific Corporation, in business for over 50 years and a world leader in the manufacture of NIST-proven two-pressure humidity calibration systems, is looking for a full-time Human Resource Administrator to oversee the entire Human Resource program at our small organization.

The HR Administrator is a newly created position that will require an experienced human resource self-starter who knows what an efficient and functional human resource program looks like and knows how to build one from scratch. This position reports directly to the Vice President and co-owner of the Company. The Human Resource Department will be a department of one: yourself.


Responsibilities and Duties:

To include but are not limited to the following.

  • Develop and implement all human resource strategies streamlining the human resource across the organization.
  • Serve as primary point of contact with all benefit providers
  • Spearhead annual negotiations and renewals with all benefit providers
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process of all potential employees
  • Serve as intermediary between management and staff, or staff to staff, during grievances and other issues and offer solutions to such issues
  • Maintain and update the Employee Handbook
  • Strive to maximize a positive working environment which includes a productive cohesion between all departments
  • Create and maintain an HR Calendar
  • Also, Thunder Scientific management envisions that once implemented, the HR function will require no more than 24-28 hours a week to successfully maintain. Therefore, since this is a full-time position, the HR Administrator may be asked to provide oversight to other organizational programs such as Safety, Facilities, etc.

  • Requirements:

  • Proven track record in the HR field
  • People oriented
  • Ability to build and maintain interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to formulate, build, and maintain an entire HR function from inception
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when assisting management with system repair processes
  • Experience in Sage (Peachtree) accounting software is highly desirable, but not required

  • Experience And Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
